Joel Safir
Owner and Principal Attorney
Education: Joel received his B.A. from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from Case Western University School of Law.
Hometown: East Lansing, Michigan.
Core Value: Treat People Well. This extends to his clients, colleagues, staff, and anyone he meets in his daily life.
Prior to starting Safir Law PLC in 2014, Joel spent the first fourteen years of his legal career fighting for his clients on both the Defense and Plaintiff’s side of the law. With over 25 years of trial experience, Joel has used his advocacy and compassion to build a law firm where his clients are his main focus, and he constantly strives to do everything he can to help them navigate through every aspect of their cases. Joel is admitted to the Eastern District of Michigan, the Western District of Michigan, the State Bar of Michigan, and the State Bar of Ohio.
When he is not advocating for his clients, Joel enjoys playing tennis and traveling with friends and family.
Brett O’Shell
Attorney and Counselor at Law
Education: Brett received his B.A. from Michigan State University and his J.D. from Wayne State University.

Outside of work, Brett enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, going on family vacations and trips up north, skiing, and playing soccer and basketball with his kids.
Pierette Huttner

Education: Pierette received her B.S. In Business Administration and Marketing from Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY and is a SHRM-Certified Professional.

Prior to working for Safir Law, Pierette spent over 15 years managing luxury retail businesses across the U.S. and Canada. After shifting her focus to Human Resources, Pierette worked as an HR consultant for small and mid-size businesses across the metro-Detroit area in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and quantum technologies.
Outside of work, Pierette loves to read for personal and professional development, explore new restaurants and spend quality time with family and friends.
